Stage 8 - Configure FMCB to Open PS2 Loader

In this stage we will

• Check PS2 Loader runs from the Sony Memory Card
• Configure FMCB to add Open PS2 Loader to the main loading screen

In the previous stage we managed to get a boot loader onto the Memory Card so we can run a file manager now on the PS2 Phat without the need for a DVD boot disk

Select Free MCBoot Configurator

What we want to do here is configure FMCB to add a new menu item to link to Open PS2 Loader. This will allow FMCB to display it here and link to the files you copied earlier on the Memory Card

Select OSDSYS

Move down to Configure Item 1

Adjust this item until you get to a free slot (in this case Item 6 is not configured)

Give it a name. This is the name that will appear in the FMCB Menu

Next move to Path as we need to set the path to the Open PS2 files

Go to the Memory Card (mc0 in this case) and select the directory where Open PS2 is located

Save the Configuration to the Sony Memory Card

Make sure the USB is removed

Reboot the PS2 and you should see the new menu item
